Besides traveling Louise loved cooking, canning and freezing bounty from the garden, classical music, the theater, bird identification and political discussions.

Her proudest achievements were her work with Habitat for Humanity, being instrumental in the development of the local food shelf, and being presented with the award for local volunteer of the year.

Pallbearers are Mark Froelich, Kurt Froelich, Ben Schmid and Clarence Wigton; honorary pallbearers are the 7 grandchildren.

Internment will be at the Marshall City Cemetery with Hamilton Funeral Home in charge.

Louise's family would like to thank the staff of the Prairie Home Hospice House for their patience, love and care for the past 2+ years during her journey home, as well as our local Avera chemo nurses. If only you could realize what a difference you make in allowing local treatment rather than a weekly trip to Sioux Falls!

God Bless you all.

Blessed be the memory of Louis Schmid.
