Mark Allan Bresson

Mark Bresson, age 63, of Vesta, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at his home in Vesta. Memorial Services are 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. Following a reception, interment will be in the Swede Home Lutheran Cemetery, rural Clarkfield. Traditional Visitation is from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. A Time for Sharing will begin at5:45 p.m. on Friday. Memorial Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., on Monday, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.

Mark Allan Bresson was born on March 6, 1954, in Baraboo, Wisconsin. He was raised by his mother, Beverly (Ewing) Haroldson and Harold Haroldson. Mark was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his youth at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. He attended school in Minneota and graduated high school there with the class of 1973. Mark worked for the elevator in Minneota until his marriage to Kathryn Lalim on May 7, 1983. The two were married at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Milroy and raised their two daughters, Ella and Ripley.

The family lived several places in rural Cottonwood while Mark was working road construction. In 1990, Mark began his work with Meier Electric. He retired due to disability in 2006 but still maintained his skills as an electrician. Mark moved to Vesta in 2010 where he currently resided.

Mark enjoyed deer hunting, grilling, staying current on Consumer Reports, mechanical work, and tinkering on anything that he could improve. He loved watching westerns and The Price Is Right.
Mark Bresson passed on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the age of 63 years, 4 months, and 9 days. Blessed be his memory.

Mark is survived by his 2 daughters, Ella Bresson of Halmstad, Sweden, Ripley Bresson (Andrew Kolander) of Kimball, SD; four-legged grand puppy, Beaner; 2 grandchildren, William Bresson, Hope Brennan, both of Egan, SD; mother, Beverly Haroldson of New Braunfels, TX; 6 siblings, Sherrie, Susan, Laura, Linda, Harold, Lisa; former spouse, Kathy Bresson of Cape Coral, FL; nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Haroldson; daughter, Jenny Bresson; and three brothers, Loren, Michael, and David.

The family invites attendees to a reception at the church on Monday, prior to the interment.
