Andrew Hellvig

Marshall: Andrew Hellvig, age 86, passed away at the Minneota Manor on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. A memorial service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3rd at Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Lynd City Cemetery. Andrew was born to Frank and Ann (Kindler) Hellvig on July 10, 1925 in Island Lake Township. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Island Lake Township. He worked on the farm of Art Wilson until Art retired and then worked for McLaughlin Schultz until he retired. In March of this year, he entered the Minneota Manor.
Andrew passed away at the Minneota Manor on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. He had reached the age of 86 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Andrew is survived by his four sisters, Elsie Hasert, of Minneota, Agnes Boe, of Lynd and Irene Peterson and Mae Guza, both of Russell; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Rasmussen, Elizabeth Sullivan and Annabelle Greg; and brothers, Leo, Jake and George.
Andrew’s enjoyments in life included working, watching TV, listening to the radio and playing Bingo.
