Anker Albert Pederson

Milroy: Anker Pederson, age 97, of Milroy, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at the Sanford Tracy Hospital. Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 PM on Monday, August 25, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Milroy. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. on Sunday, August 24, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will continue on Monday one hour prior to the services, at the church. Burial will be in Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery.
Anker Albert Pederson was born on May 9, 1911, to Christian and Christine (Jensen) Pederson in rural Milroy, Minnesota. He worked as a mechanic in rural Milroy and Phoenix, AZ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading.
Anker passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. He had reached the age of 97 years, 3 months and 11 days.
Anker was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ernest; sisters, Marie Peltier, Agnes Pearsall, Johanne Phillips, and Ruth Leese; and a grand-nephew, Wayne Poppe.
He is survived by nephew, Daniel (and Sherry) Leese of Victorville, CA; nieces, Angela (and Ken) Poppe of Phoenix, AZ and Breezy Point, MN, Carol (and Brian) Lockwood of Scottsdale, AZ and Avon Lakes, OH, and Diane Hanson of Victorville, CA; and nine grand nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Shetek Home Care, everyone at O’Brien Court where Anker lived for three years and cousins, Eve Jean and Scot Bowman.
