Sioux Falls: Connie Lee, age 76, of Marshall, passed away at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Marshall. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4-8P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Connie Lou Lee was born to Donald and Bernice (Engebritson) Semans on April3, 1931 in Pipestone, Minnesota. On August 27, 1948 she was united in marriage to Elmer Lee in Long Prairie, Minnesota. After her marriage, the couple lived near Iona on a farm before moving to Marshall. Connie and Elmer owned and operated Pa¹s Place restaurant in Marshall before Connie took a job at Haas Bakery. She worked at the bakery for 23 years and then worked at East Side Elementary in the lunchroom and as a playground supervisor before her retirement. Connie passed away at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. She had reached the age of 76 years, 2 months and 3 days. She is survived by her children, Michael (and Deb) Lee of Redfield, SD, andRuss (and Cathy) Lee of Marshall; grandchildren, James (and Wendy) Lee, Jennifer (and David) Timm, Lora Lee, and Holly Lee; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Lee, Kristina Lee, Miranda Lee, Derrick Timm, Tyler Timm, Kaitlyn Timm, Jessica Lee, Davianna Bock, Kennedy Lee, and Cadyn Lee; brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; parents, Bernice and Donald Semans; infant daughter, Jacklynn; and brother, Donald, Jr. Connie enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, baking, playing cards and bingo with friends, and especially spending time with her kids and grandkids.
