Diana May Gravley

Balaton: Diana May (Victor) Gravley, age 30, of Balaton, passed away at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center on Monday, May 19, 2008. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Friday, May 23, 2008 at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service on Thursday, May 22, at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the church. Burial will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Diana May Victor was born to Edward and Angeline (Ratajczak) Victor on October 20, 1977 in Canby, Minnesota. She was raised on a farm near Canby. Diana was baptized at St. Peter’s in Canby. She received first communion and was confirmed at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. She moved to Marshall in the winter of 1986. She attended school in Canby and Marshall, graduating from Marshall High School in 1996. She worked at numerous places including, Cattoor’s, Marshall Independent, The Eagles’ Club, and Schwan’s Food Company. She also did a lot of babysitting.
While working at Schwan’s, she met Aaron Gravley and on July 15, 2000, they were united in marriage at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. They made their home in Balaton, where they raised their three children; Spencer, age 10, Shelby, age 4, and Simon, age 3.
Diana was an amazing wife and mother with a heart of gold and the strength and willingness to live life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed meeting new people and joking around with everyone; she was the life of the party. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, exercising, Mary Kay, and everything involving her husband and children. Diana was the peace maker that held everyone together. She will be dearly missed by all.
Diana is survived by her husband, Aaron DeWayne Gravley of Balaton; children, Spencer, Shelby, and Simon; parents, Edward and Angeline Victor of Canby; siblings, Eddie Victor, Jr. (and Kimby Rosenthal) of Hendricks, Jeff (and Bonnie) Victor of Lynd, Randy Victor (and Crystal Buysse) of Hendricks, Janine Victor (and Lawrence Miller) of Marshall, Andrea Anderson of Marshall, Steven (and Jamie) Victor of Canby; grandmother, Hedwig Ratajczak of Ivanhoe; parents-in-law, Daniel and Pat Taveirne of Russell and Dewey Gravley of Russell; sisters-in-law, Shelly (and Jesse) Carter of Taunton and Nicole Gillow of Marshall; step-brother-in-law, Kevin Taveirne of Balaton; step-sister-in-law, Kristin Taveirne of Walden, NY; nieces and nephews, Angela, Matt, Amber, Anthony, Teresa, Bethany, Brandon, Joseph, Emily, Danielle, Jessica, MaKenzie, Elaine, Dylan, Dwight, Cheyenne, Ryker, Jagger, Hawk, Tucker, Kenzie, and Landon; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Anton Ratajczak and paternal grandparents, Frank and Emily Ochocki.
