Ella Mae Anderson
March 20, 1925 — December 29, 2014
Ella Mae Anderson, age 89, of Slayton, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Slayton. Memorial services are 11:00 AM Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Slayton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church.
Ella Mae Scully was born March 20, 1925, in Iona, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edwin and Mary (Mahon) Scully. Ella Mae graduated from Slayton High School, she attended the Minneapolis School on Business. Ella lived most of her life in Murray County, Minnesota, where she always felt at home.
Ella was a long-time member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church where she was a member of Catholic Daughters. Her enjoyments in life included playing Bridge and bowling.

Ella is survived by her daughter, Janet Cahill of St Paul, MN, Dean (Mary) Semmer of Minnetonka, MN; 4 grandchildren, Chad, Shanna, Kelly, Mitch; 1 great-grand daughter, Justine; husband, John Anderson of Mesa, AZ, and Slayton, MN; nieces, nephews, many dear relatives and friends.
Ella is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Mary Scully; 3 brothers, Franklin, Phil, and Paul Scully and a sister, Edna Scully.
A special thanks to the caring staff of Golden Living Center and Compassionate Care Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St Ann’s Catholic Church in Slayton.
