Evelyn A. Rust

Evelyn Rust, age 93, formerly of Marshall, passed away at the Walker Methodist Health Care Center in Minneapolis on Friday, August 3, 2007. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Evelyn A. Rust was born on February 18, 1914 on a farm near Milroy, MN to August and Elise (Olsen) Johnson. She graduated as Valedictorian from Milroy High School in 1932. On August 23, 1936, Evelyn was united in marriage to Erhard Rust. They farmed near Belview, MN and moved to Marshall in the mid 1940s. Erhard died on June 18, 2000. They were married for 64 years.
Evelyn passed away at the Walker Methodist Health Care Center in Minneapolis on Friday, August 3, 2007. She had reached the age of 93 years, 5 months and 15 days.
She is survived by one son, Gary (Lucy) Rust of Minneapolis, two daughters, Betty (David) Gunderson of Fargo and Mavis (Don) Herring of Pittsburgh, PA; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Mickelsen of St. Anthony, MN. Evelyn was preceded by her parents; husband Erhard; and eight siblings.
