Jordan Clapsaddle, age 18, of Russell, Minnesota, died as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, December 30, 2018, near Lynd, Minnesota. Funeral Services are 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marshall, Minnesota. Following a reception, interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Balaton, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2018, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. A time to share memories will begin at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will then continue one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., at the church on Thursday.

Jordan Peter Clapsaddle was born May 27, 2000, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was baptized as an infant at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Evergreen and attended elementary school in Frazee-Vergas. In 2010, Jordan moved with his family to Marshall and was confirmed at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marshall. He attended middle school and then high school in Marshall, graduating this past spring. He was currently living in Russell and working at Marshall Truss Systems.

Jordan was a truly amazing kid. He was hardworking, well-mannered, polite, and well-liked by many. He was an even better big brother to his young siblings and cherished time spent with them. His sense of humor, comedic style, confidence and charm led to many good friendships. His enjoyments in life included putting his mechanical mind to use on cars and small engines, deer hunting, fishing, camping, swimming, snowmobiling, and hanging out with friends.

Jordan died in a motor vehicle accident on December 30, 2018, at the age of 18 years, 7 months, and 3 days. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his loving parents, Tom & Dawn Clapsaddle of Russell; biological mother, Tiffany Hoggarth of Jamestown, ND; siblings, Jada and Jamesen Clapsaddle, Blake and Montana Brown; grandparents, Terri (Gary) Thunstrom of Detroit Lakes, Warren Clapsaddle of Frazee, Deb & Ray Harden of Marshall, Wally & Pam Johnson of Fargo, ND; great-grandparents, Delores Olson of Detroit Lakes, Tom Herbert of Balaton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Jordan was preceded in death by his grandpa, Robert Knapper; and great-grandparents, June Herbert, Kermit W. Olson Sr., and Vern & Joann Leitz.
