LeAnn and Stan Benson were united in marriage on August 7, 1985 at the United Methodist Church in Ruthton. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Ashly and Amanda. LeAnn worked at Heartland Food for two years, and then was a homemaker and caregiver of her children. LeAnn suffered a stroke in 1992, between the birthdates of her children, which left herpermanently disabled. Because of this she was unable to provide the care she loved to give her girls as they were growing up. With much patience and help from Stan she participated in their care as much as she could. She was always very proud of her children's accomplishments and they have done much to help her as they have grown to their teenage years.

LeAnn's enjoyments in life before the stroke were craft projects, painting, fabric painting and quilt making.
