Lyle Myron Geske

Lynd: Lyle Geske, age 69, of Lynd, passed away on Saturday, July 30th at his home. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will take place at the Lynd Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Lyle Myron Geske, the son of Marvin and Irene (Schultz) Geske was born on May 16, 1942 in Marshall. He was the third of twelve children. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marshall. In 1960, Lyle graduated from Lynd High School.
Lyle was married on December 6, 1967 to Debbie Bernaki in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They were later divorced. To that union, two children were born. Steven Paul Geske, of Up State, New York, was born in 1968 and Stephanie Lynn Geske of Belview, Nebraska, was born in 1971.
Lyle is survived by his two children; three grandchildren, Julian, Charlie and James; six brothers and five sisters, Ina Geske of Hutchinson, Richard (Karen) Geske of Marshall, Wayne Geske of Rochester, Dale Geske and (friend Louise Ferry) of Swift Falls, Esther (Doug) Schmidt of Wood Lake, Naomi (Bob) Polzin of Hutchinson, Patrick (Janice) Geske of New Ulm, Ronald (Claire) Geske of Marion, Indiana, Cynthia (Bob) Steinbeisser of Morton, Glenn Geske of Minnetrista and Nelia Gary of Barry; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and brother-in-law, Dennis Gary.
