Niklaus Mikhael Odom

Niklaus Mikhael Odom, age 7 months, of Balaton, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at the Avera Marshall Regional Care Center in Marshall, Minnesota. Due to the current public gathering limitations, Private Family Funeral Services will be held at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. A livestream of the event will be available by email invitation.

Niklaus Mikhael Odom was born on August 13, 2019, in Marshall, Minnesota, to parents Elijah Odom and Kira Gilbery. His time on Earth was spent filling his family with joy and love. Niklaus loved spending time in his bouncer and watching his active brother, Jionni.

Niklaus is survived by his parents, Elijah and Kira of Balaton; brother, Jionni Odom of Balaton; maternal grandparents, Michelle (John) Rooney of Balaton, Curt (Candie) Gilbery of Garvin; paternal grandfather, Steve Odom, Sr.; maternal great-grandparents, Marlys Wehmeyer (Larry Shelton) of Slayton, Thomas Paukner of Minnetonka, Kathy & Ken Gilbery of Balaton, Darlene Rooney of Sauk Center; paternal great-grandmother, Ruth Merringer of Lamberton; and other relatives.

Niklaus is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rebecca Merringer, and several great-grandparents.
