Ricky Williams, age 49, formerly of Marshall, passed away suddenly in Pipestone of Saturday, September 15, 2007. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with an 8:00 P.M. prayer service Friday. Visitation will continue at the Hamilton Funeral Home on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
Ricky Eugene Williams was born to Eddie Lee and Ida Mae (Everett) Williams on November 15, 1957 in Cairo, Illinois. He was baptized at St. John’s Baptist Church in Mounds, IL and attended Meridian High in Mounds. He received his GED later in life. Ricky met Judy Ann Connelly in January 1997 while both were working at Tracy Medtronics. They were united in marriage On July 13, 1999 in Brookings, SD. They made their home in Marshall until 2002, moved to Hanley Falls for two years, moved to Lake Benton for two years and then moved to Pipestone where they purchased their first house. Ricky worked at Diamond Clear Ice, Hardees, Burger King, Norcraft and Hoffco.
Ricky died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 15, 2007. He reached the age of 49 years and 10 months.
He is survived by his wife, Judy of Pipestone; his mother, Ida of Rockford, IL five children, Jermeny, Anthony, Adea, Ricky Jr. and Marissa; three stepchildren, Julia and Christian Petersen and Alonda White; 11 siblings, Barbara (Carlos) Terry of Bloomington, IL, James Eason of TX, Jimmy Eason of St. Louis, MO, Gina Terry of Cincinnati, OH, Marlin Parkins of Rockford, IL, Greg Eason of CA, Mark (Harvetta) Eason of Beloit, WI, Shannon (Clinton) Bentley of Beloit, WI, LaTonya Eason of Rockford, IL, Monique Eason of Rockford, IL and Rayshaun Eason of Rockford, IL; also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie; two brothers, Sterlin and Ronnie Eason; two nieces; parents-in-law, Genevieve and Christian Connelly; and brother-in-law, David Connelly.
Ricky played basketball and ran track while in high school. His other enjoyments were playing chess, cards, bowling, watching TV and movies (had an extensive collection) painting ceramics, joking around and making people laugh.
