Marshall: Vivian A. Traxinger, age 86, of Marshall, passed away at the Minneota Manor on Saturday, October 23, 2010. Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Marshall: Vivian A. Vivian Arlene was born December 31, 1923 in Hartley, Iowa to Glenn R. and Emma L. (Schmeiser) Green. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith. Vivian was united in marriage to Robert W. Traxinger in South Sioux City, Nebraska on May 11, 1942. While Robert served in the military during World War II, Vivian lived with her parents in Marshall. When the war ended, Robert rejoined Vivian in Marshall and they purchased a home and they raised their family. Vivian was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed all the family times spent Lake Belle Taine near Park Rapids. She also loved flower gardening, knitting (afghans) and dogs (especially Sammy).
Her husband Robert passed away on August 30, 1989 and Vivian joined him in death on Saturday, October 23, 2010. She had reached the age of 86 years, 9 months and 23 days.
Vivian will lovingly be remembered by those who survive her: four children, Dianne “Trixie” (Bob) Cool of Marshall, Sue (Myron) Green of Lynd, Roger (Brenda) of Conway, SC, and Thomas (Dori Krumm) of Marshall; six grandchildren, Christine Johnson, Melissa Palicka, Gretchen Ulmer, Jason Cool, Justin Green and Jeremy Traxinger; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Schneider of Glen Ellyn, IL; a brother, Gordon (Vi) Green of Tucson, AZ; also many other relatives.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert. Blessed Be The Memory Of Vivian Traxinger.
