Wayne Joseph Hauger

Russell: Wayne J. Hauger, age 62, of Russell, formerly of Gary, SD, Tyler and Worthington, passed away at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls on Friday, September 10, 2010 due to complications from leukemia. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday, September 14th at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Visitation with his family will start at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday. Wayne Joseph was born to John and Elizabeth (Keimig) Hauger on June 19, 1948 at Gary, SD. He was raised on the Hauger Farm near Gary and graduated from the Canby High School in 1966. He then married Eva Westphal and from this union came two sons and one daughter. He lived in Tyler as well as other communities in Southwest Minnesota and Northwest Iowa. He drove a milk truck for Terrace Park for many years and worked for Monfort in Worthington, L.C. Kruse Construction out of Lakefield and Minnesota Corn Processors in Marshall. Where ever he went he always ran into people he knew and loved to visit and catch up with new and old friends alike. His enjoyments included fishing, buying and selling anything he got his hands on and had quite a nack for making a sale. He was a simple man and let a simple life. Wayne passed away at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls on Friday, September 10, 2010 after battling Lymphocitic Leukemia (CLL) for the past six years and along with pneumonia. He had reached the age of 62 years, 2 months and 21 days. He is survived by two children, Brian (and Robin) of Milroy and Jena (and BJ)Boles of Lake Park, IA; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Tanner, Brody, Natasha and Cainen; two brothers, Russell of Canby and Dennis (and Julie) of Watertown, SD; two sisters, Eileen (and Brad) Brooks of Minneapolis and Rita (and Brian) Fleahman of Ivanhoe; as well as many other friends and relatives including a special companion. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Derek; and two uncles, William and Phillip Hauge and a special companion. Blessed Be His Memory
