Alice Caroline Shaw

Alice Shaw, age 89, of Minneota, Minnesota, died on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Minneota Assisted Living Facility. Memorial Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Radiant Life Church in Marshall, Minnesota. A reception for attendees will follow at the church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her celebration, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, also at the church.

Alice Caroline Shaw was born on January 28, 1936, in Baker, Montana. She was the daughter of Carl and Alvine (Kruger) Krokum. Alice was baptized as infant and was confirmed in her youth in the Lutheran Church. She moved around extensively, even during her schooling years.

Alice spent about 20 years married to Norm Shaw. The couple made their home in Colorado, among various other places, and raised a son, Brian. Alice worked for many years as a secretary in the insurance industry. Following a divorce and her retirement, Alice moved to Minnesota to be near other family members.

Her enjoyment in life included reading, crafts, coloring, Diamon Art, and she loved going for drives and traveling any chance she could.

Alice Shaw died on Monday, September 8, 2025, in Minneota, Minnesota. She reached the age of 89 years, 7 months, and 11 days. Blessed be her memory.

She is survived by a sister, Ruth Ann Sweats of Rosemount; several nieces and nephews; her church family; other relatives and friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Alvine Krokum.
