Anne Annette Kosberg was born on June 29, 1929, on the family farm in Lincoln County, Minnesota. She was the middle child of 7 born to Peter H. and Pearl M. (Christianson) Kosberg. At age 5, Anne moved with her family to Hendricks, Minnesota. She attended school there and often recalled what a great town that was to grow up in and enjoyed her childhood near the lake.
Anne met the love of her life, Orville “Rocky” Rockman and the couple was united in marriage on November 16, 1947, in Hendricks. To this union, God blessed the family with two children: Elizabeth and Bradley. She was a devoted homemaker and mother. She also volunteered extensively with her church – whether singing in the choir, assisting with many weddings and funerals, the Mission Society, or teaching Sunday School.
Rocky and Anne enjoyed traveling extensively, as they visited all 50 states, the Philippine Islands, Europe, and she particularly enjoyed Norway where she connected with her Kosberg family. She was dedicated to the Republican Party and protected political integrity by serving as an election judge for over 40 years. Anne also spent time with the Lyon County Museum, Avera Thrift Shop, and was president of the Hospital Auxiliary for 8 years.
Anne entered her Heavenly home on Friday, August 25, 2023. She had reached the age of 94 years, I month, and 27 days. Blessed be her memory.
