Audrey Mae Sik

Audrey Sik, age 91, of Marshall, Minnesota, died peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Hendricks Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Milroy. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026, also St. Michael's Catholic Church in Milroy. The evening will conclude with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to her celebration, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, again at the church.

Audrey Mae Sik was born on March 20, 1935, in Marshall, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Louis and Anna (Bengston) Seiler. Audrey was baptized as an infant and confirmed in her youth at the First Baptist Church near Marshall. She attended country school and then Marshall schools through high school where she met Mr. Stanley Sik. Audrey later converted to the Catholic faith where she received her sacraments, including baptism, at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno.

Audrey and Stanley were united in marriage on June 2, 1953, at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, Minnesota. The couple made their home and farmed near Astoria, South Dakota, before moving to Clifton Township near Marshall, Minnesota, in 1963. Audrey worked as a devoted homemaker and farm wife before earning certification to become a certified nurse's assistant. She then worked for over 23 years at the nursing home in Marshall. Her compassion was evident as she cared for others and patients routinely asked for her - she was respected by peers and patients alike.

Her enjoyments in life included traveling, reading, cooking, baking, playing Bingo, and trips to the casino. Audrey loved a good card game, especially if it was Misery, and was known to be witty with a stubborn streak. She was faithful in her church circles, served in the kitchen often, and was devoted to her daily prayers. Above all, Audrey was intentional about her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a special memory for family history and birth dates - ensuring that no one was ever forgotten.

Audrey Sik died peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in Hendricks, Minnesota. She reached the age of 91 years, 4 months, and 1 day. Blessed and eternal be her memory.

She is survived by her 8 children, Stanley Jr. (and Lillian) Sik of Marshall, Mark (and Joyce) Sik of Marshall, Gary (and Diane) Sik of Tyler, Daniel (and Deborah) Sik of Minneota, John Sik of Minneota, Tyrone (and Peggy) Sik of Sioux Falls, SD, Ann (and Randy) Felton of Marshall, Cheryl (and Steve) Kohrer of Maple Grove; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren with another on the way; sister, Mary Anne Stanke of Littleton, CO; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Anna Seiler; husband, Stanley Sik Sr.; great-grandson, Alexander Sik; sister, Nancy (and Bob) Sando; and brother-in-law, Bob Stanke.
