Bonnie Renee Skuya

Bonnie Skuya, age 65, of Marshall, Minnesota, died with family at her side on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at her home. Memorial Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, also at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota.

Benita Renee Roberts was born on March 17, 1960, in Duluth, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Warren and Bernice (Anderson) Roberts. Bonnie grew up all over the world as her dad was stationed in various locations during his military career. At age 15, Bonnie's family settled in Marshall, Minnesota. She graduated from Marshall High School with the class of 1978. It was there that she met Mr. Paul Skuya.

Bonnie and Paul were united in marriage on October 27, 1979, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. The couple made their home and raised their three children in Marshall. Bonnie began working for Schwan’s shortly after high school and dedicated over 40 years of her life to the company, eventually retiring from the administration of the workers’ compensation department. Alongside her career, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family was always her greatest pride.

Bonnie's enjoyments in life included being outdoors, sitting in the backyard, camping all over the state, and trying her luck on the penny or nickel slots. She was devoted to her family and thrived when able to spend time with her grandchildren.

Bonnie Skuya died under the care of hospice and with family at her side on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at her home. She reached the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 20 days. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice team for their compassionate care and support during Bonnie’s final days. Blessed be her memory.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul "Honey Pot" Skuya of Marshall; 3 children, Jeremy Skuya of Marshall, Jamie Stuckey of Marshall, Joe (and Haley) Skuya of Baltic, SD; mother, Bernice Roberts of Marshall; 5 grandchildren, Mattea Lyngen, Louis Stuckey, Levi Skuya, Haven Skuya, Maryn Skuya; siblings, Dan (and Rose) Roberts of Oakdale, Lee (and Ann) Roberts of New Hope; brothers-in-law, Craig Skuya of Sioux Falls, SD, Steve (and Sue) Skuya of Marshall; beloved Cocker Spaniel, Maggie; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Warren Roberts; parents in law, Anton & Edna Skuya; and sister-in-law, Vicki Skuya.
