David Minnick, age 75, of Cottonwood, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Parkview Senior Living in Belview, Minnesota. Graveside services are 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Marshall Cemetery. The public is invited to join the family for a brief committal at the cemetery and then following – to the Cottonwood Community Center (142 W Main St, Cottonwood, MN 56229).
David Duane Minnick was born on April 15, 1950, in Marshall, Minnesota. He was the son of Duane and Dorothy (Petersen) Minnick. David Grew up in Marshall and graduated high school with the class of 1968 before continuing his education at a local technical college. David made his home in Marshall initially but then moved to Cottonwood and has called that community home for the past four decades.
David was technically minded and put a lot of care into his craft at the various jobs that he held. His primary occupation was as a skilled craftsman at Mid-Continent Cabinet company in Cottonwood. When he wasn't working, he could often be found fishing.
David Minnick died on October 21, 2025, in Bellevue, Minnesota. He reached the age of 75 years, 6 months, and 6 days. Blessed be his memory.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Minnick of Ft. Collins, CO, and a grand-cat, Enzo. David was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Dorothy Minnick.
