David Edward Roberts

David Roberts, age 61, passed away at his home in Mankato, Minnesota, on October 10, 2026.

David was born on June 15, 1965, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Ralph and Beverly Roberts. He grew up in Marshall and joined the National Guard prior to graduating high school, serving for ten years. He married Melinda DeYonge in 1990 and they made their home in Mankato welcoming three boys before later divorcing.

David worked as a licensed pipefitter for several construction companies in several states through the years. Outside of work, he had a passion for cars and frequently drove in local demolition derbies as well as attended numerous car shows through the years. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his three sons, Nathan, Matthew, and Zachary; four grandchildren, Becca, Braxton, Blakely, and Remington; mother, Beverly Roberts; siblings, Val Breczinski, Kathy Lanners, and John Roberts; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Roberts.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at The Gambler in Marshall, Minnesota. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor his legacy.
