Jacob Peterson, age 19, of Russell, Minnesota, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 19, 2019, near Arco, Minnesota. Memorial Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2019, at Grace First Parish in Russell, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. A prayer service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Friday, at the church.
Jacob Allen Peterson was born on March 29, 1999, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Shawn and Christa (Wilson) Peterson. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace First Parish in Russell where he was a member. Jacob attended school at Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, graduating in 2017. He has since been working at PSC Q3 Construction out of Little Canada, MN alongside his father and met many amazing people.
Jacob was an amazing kid with a knack of knowing what his friends and family needed before they even asked. Jacob had a beautiful smile and he had all of his grandparents wrapped around his little finger. Jacob dazzled friends and family with his story telling and he never stopped talking. Everyone loved to listen to his creative stories. He loved anything to do with hunting, wildlife, sports and being outside. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was a man of many names and would answer to Yabut, Square Pants and Peanut.
Jacob died suddenly on Saturday, January 19, 2019, near Arco, Minnesota, at the age of 19 years, 9 months, and 21 days. Blessed be his memory.
Jacob is survived by his parents, Shawn and Christa Peterson of Russell; sister, Sara Peterson of Russell; grandparents, Allen and Judi Peterson of Russell, Julienne and John Daniels of Balaton; girlfriend, Emma Holland of Marshall; aunt and uncles, Craig Wilson of Marshall, Scott (Michele) Peterson of Russell, Shallyn (Tony) Dybdahl of Russell; cousins, Brittni (Lukas) Dubbeldee with Sawyer, Brett Peterson (Janel Wichern), Kason Dybdahl, Ellie Dybdahl; yellow lab, Molly; and many friends.
Jacob was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Peterson, and grandfather, Donald Roby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
