Julie Cahow, age 73, of Marshall, Minnesota, died peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Prairie Home Hospice – Lockwood House in Marshall. Viewing hours will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall. A Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Diamond Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Lake Benton, Minnesota, at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Julienne Lorraine Cahow was born on January 23, 1953, in Tyler, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Donald and Betty (Schnell) Cahow. Julie grew up on the family farm near Lake Benton, Minnesota, was baptized as an infant, and confirmed in her youth in the Christian faith. She attended school in Lake Benton and graduated with the high school class of 1971 before furthering her education at the vocational school in Canby, Minnesota. Julie went on to work various jobs, including the Bayliner plant in Pipestone.

Julie then moved to Marshall in 1981 and spent over 33 years at ADM in Marshall where she was instrumental to quality control, testing, and the Safety Committee. Julie had an artistic flare and loved to scour the internet for new projects, or something new to teach herself. She was always doctoring something up and really enjoyed making Christmas ornaments and baking Christmas goodies with family. When she wasn’t at the Dollar Tree or Perkins with her dear friend, Lisa, Julie loved her time spent among family.

Julie Cahow died on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Marshall, Minnesota. She reached the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 12 days. Blessed be her memory.

She survived by her 3 siblings, David (and Julie) Cahow of Arco, Mary DeVries of Marshall, Dale Cahow of Lake Benton; 8 nieces and nephews, Davey, Stacy, Josh, Dawn, Sam, Mickey, Chris, Lashia; many great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Betty Cahow; sister, Roxann Cahow; and a niece, Shannon Cahow.
