Kathy Coudron, age 81, of Montevideo and formerly of Marshall, Minnesota, died on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Brookside Senior Living in Montevideo. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. Following burial in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, A luncheon for attendees will be held at the AmericInn Hotel in Marshall. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her celebration of life on Saturday, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., also at the Hamilton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Brookside Montevideo location (https://www.brooksidecampus.org/donate/).
Katherine Ruby Paul was born on February 28, 1944, in Marshall, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Woodrow and Edith (Garrow) Paul. Kathy grew up in Marshall and after graduating high school and later further her education at Minnesota West Community College in 2004.
On February 17, 1962, Kathy was married to Donald Coudron at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. They shared over 53 years of marriage together and had 5 children - Richard, Timothy, Martin, Beverly, and Susan. The couple made their home in Marshall and surrounding towns, Worthington, Minnesota and briefly in Waterloo, Iowa. Her final three years were spent at Brookside Senior Living in Montevideo lovingly cared for by the most devoted and compassionate staff imaginable.
Kathy had many enjoyments and held many jobs over the years - starting with helping Donny on the family farm. She was also employed at Swift Foods and Club 59, did housekeeping at Weiner Memorial Hospital, and (while in Worthington) worked at Prairie Market, A & T tap, and (in Waterloo, IA) Nash Foods. She also spent time at Woolworths, owned and operated Grandma's Daycare, worked at Schott Corp., the Schwan's Call Center, and lastly served as a greeter at Walmart in Marshall and served as the cleaning lady for Hamilton Funeral Home.
Her interests in life included baking, cooking, crocheting, caring for her house plants, collecting dog figurines, listening to country music, playing cards or a game of Wahoo, and dancing. Her primary joy was found in taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
Kathy was born on a cold day in 1944, was married on a blustery day in 1962, and died on a frigid day in 2026 with family at her side in Montevideo, Minnesota. She reached the age of 81 years, 10 months, and 26 days. Blessed and eternal be her memory.
She is survived by her 3 children, Tim Coudron (and Mary Rich) of Marshall, Beverly Coudron of Montevideo, Susan (and Jose Gerardo) Limones of Renville; 10 grandchildren, KaCee, Justine (and Colin), Jonathan, Jose, Tony, Angelica (and Dean), Alma, Kristaffer, Marisol (and Rene), Jonathan; 8 great-grandchildren, Layken, Willow, Dominic, Serenity, Piper, Benjimyn, Bianka, Alonzo, and another on the way; sister, Joan DesLauriers; brother, David Paul; sister-in-law, Aloma Coudron; brothers-in-law, Neal Sabin, Don Kor; nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow & Edith Paul; husband, Donald “Donny” Coudron; sons, Rick Garman, Marty Coudron; grandson, Alonso Limones; son-in-law, Amador Limones; step-grandson, Brandon Limones; sisters, Phyllis Lorentson, Barb Dirckx, Betty Sabin; and parents-in-law, Emil & Alma Coudron.
