Maegan Leah Schroeder was born on March 26, 1988, in Cherokee, Iowa. She was the daughter of Mark and Terri (Jungjohan) Schroeder. She grew up in Sutherland, Iowa, where she was baptized as an infant and confirmed in her youth at Bethel Lutheran Church. Maegan attended South O'Brien School and graduated with the high school class there in 2006. By the grace of God, she soon met Mr. Jason Schreier.

Maegan was united in marriage to Jason on August 20, 2014, near Pikes Peak, Colorado. The couple made their home in Marcus, Iowa, before moving to Marshall in May of 2017. They had four children together and shared the last nine years of marriage prior to the end of Maegan's medical battle.

Maegan worked for many years as store manager for Fastenal focusing on sales and distribution. However, her main role was as family manager as she kept schedules together, attended all of her children's events, and even served as president on the board of the high school dance team. Her enjoyments in life included fishing, boating, tubing, knee boarding, and camping. She loved to be on and near the water, spending many summer days at Edgewater Bay on lake Shetek. She always focused on family first and was the driving force to get family together as often as she could.

Maegan Schreier died with family at her side on Friday, September 22nd, 2023, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She had reached the age of 35 years, 5 months, and 27 days. Blessed be her memory.

She is survived by her husband Jason Schreier of Marshall; 4 children, Kapriece, Kieler, Keaton, Gavin; mother, Terri (and Jimi) Dorland of Big Spring, TX; father, Mark Schroeder (Darlene Powers) of Milford, IA; mother-in-law, Denise Schreier (Mark Boomgaarden) of Le Mars, IA; father-in-law, David Schreier of Marcus, IA; siblings, Taylor (and Whitney) Schroeder of Cherokee, IA, Collin (and Brooke) Schroeder of Hull, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
