Ronald Lee Gregg was born on January 1, 1939, in Minneota, Minnesota. He was the son of William “Bill” and Ruella (Alleckson) Gregg. Ron grew up moving around the Marshall, Minneota, and Cottonwood areas. He attended school in Marshall and was then married and had three children. After his first marriage ended in divorce, he met Joyce Erickson while roller skating in Marshall. Ron and Joyce were united in marriage on November 21, 1970, in Watertown, South Dakota. Ron and Joyce were blessed with 3 more children. Ron and his family lived for a time in Minneota before moving to their current farm west of Cottonwood in 1973.

Ron worked as a mechanic & parts manager for many years at Marshall Salvage and Breyfogle's Auto. He finished his career as the parts manager at Doug's Auto Parts in Marshall before retiring.

Ron was a devoted rodeo dad, an avid pheasant hunter, he enjoyed HAM Radio and was known as “Easy Money”, and he was passionate about old cars, Allis-Chalmers, and lawn mower pulls. With a bit of an Archie Bunker personality, Ron was known to have a stubborn streak that endeared him to family and friends. When it was time to relax, Ron could often be found watching Gunsmoke.

Ron Gregg died at his home on December 4, 2025, just three weeks before his 87th birthday. Blessed be his memory.
