Roxann Faye Cahow was born on March 9, 1961, in Tyler, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Donald and Betty (Schnell) Cahow. Roxy grew up on the family farm near Lake Benton, Minnesota, and was baptized as an infant in the Christian faith. She attended school in Lake Benton and graduated with the high school class of 1980 before going on to work various jobs.
Roxy then moved to Marshall and devoted herself to being a loving homemaker and mother to her son, Chris. She also spent over 15 years as the supervisor for the Marshall Hardee’s restaurant before the health concerns forced her retirement about 10 years ago. Roxy was a fairly quiet and reserved person and devoted all of her time and energy to her grandchildren. Those that knew her well appreciated the occasional inappropriate joke and witty sense of humor. Roxy was known to be a bit of a troublemaker within the family, but in a playful, loving and positive way.
Roxy died on November 15, 2025, in Lamberton, Minnesota. She reached the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 6 days. Blessed be her memory.
She survived by her son, Chris Cahow of Brookings, SD; 3 grandchildren, Braxton Johnson of Hendricks, Mason Cahow of Brookings, Connor Cahow of Brookings; 4 siblings, Julie Cahow of Marshall, David (and Julie) Cahow of Arco, Mary DeVries of Marshall, Dale Cahow of Lake Benton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
