Stee Ha, age 54, of Marshall, Minnesota, died peacefully under the care of hospice on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at his home. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Sublo Karen Baptist Church in Marshall. Interment will follow in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be held just prior to his celebration, beginning at 1:30 p.m., also at the church.
Stee Ha was born in Myanmar to parents Pa Ha and Re Say. Stee grew up there, and at age 29, his family fled to a refugee camp in Thailand, due to military conflict that began in 1995. He stayed there until 2011, but during his time there he met and then married his wife, Telber Lay.
The couple emigrated to the United States first living in Arizona where Stee worked for a milk production company. They had a brief stop in Iowa where he worked for Tyson Pork before settling in Marshall, Minnesota, where Stee was employed by Schwan's and later Turkey Valley Farms. Stee was a hardworking man, but when he found some free time, Stee enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Stee lost his battle with cancer and died under the care of hospice on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at his home in Marshall, Minnesota. Blessed be his memory.
He is survived by his wife, Telber Lay of Marshall; 4 children, Loving Stee, Moo Kae Blu Taw Stee, Moo Ger Gler Taw Stee, Moo Plo Soe Stee; 7 brothers; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Stee was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Tender Stee.
